Rhythm Cards in 2/4

I use these to focus on introducing half notes to 2nd graders. The one with the quarter notes and tie I use to remind the students (after this lesson) that a half note is two tied quarter notes. Then I remove the tied quarter notes - so they get used to seeing the half note instead. I do the same with the 2 quarter rests and the half rest. Also, when I put these up on the board, I add a time signature - and name it (they always have to echo after me when I say that - so they remember - and they think of it as a game) - and I add barlines and a double barline, naming everything.
